“Alma Mater Educational Society” was established to cater to the Academic, Vocational, Co-curricular & Career needs of the students of Bareilly & neighboring townships. With the view to achieve the above ends the Society established “Alma Mater Kindergarten” in 1988 in a rented premises and steadily developed it up to Class V. The 1993-94 Session marked the construction of its own premises at Kurmanchal Nagar, Pilibhit Road, Bareilly . This was a result of the overwhelming support of the parents of our dear students and hard work and devotion of our competent teachers.

Alma Mater Day-Cum-Day Boarding Senior Secondary School from Play Group to XII is a regular Day School affiliated to CBSE. Besides, Alma Mater has also developed an additional Day Boarding Section each at Primary & Middle levels (Class I to VIII) which affords us sufficient time to provide for the Vocational, Co-curricular & Physical needs of our students, besides the Academic needs.

It maintains Play Group to XII regular school too, which it continues alongside PG to VIII Day Boarding. With feats of excellence at every step, Alma Mater has become the most sought after institution in the city

Extra Curricular Activities

The school also dwells on indoor art and craft wherein the students are exposed to all kinds of activities like music (harmonium, tabla, guitar, etc.), clay modeling, soft art, handicraft, needlecraft, oration, elocution, career orientation, etc.

Most public schools propagate and promote western values and life styles but at Alma Mater, education is based on Indian values, in letter and spirit. The system here amalgamates the best from cultures around the world to enable students to function globally. Technological advancements are adopted. Value based education promotes a secular bent of mind and attitudes. In the world today, international education is an advantage. A host of co-curricular activities such as Debates, Declamations, Elocution, Dance, etc. are organized not only at the school level but also at the inter-school level.

The school’s inception was in a modest four room premises but today the school boasts of a massive playground, 60 class rooms and activities at par with any institution in the country.

We always have to be aware that, “Service first and the self-second, is a motto good and fine, But let us have it well reckoned, the self is yours and never mine”.

  • Supports upto Ten meritorious students from economically weaker families.
  • Provides financial support to the cause of DISHA and ‘Helpage India’ devoted to education & vocational Training of Handicapped children.
  • Fee support to children of school staff / sub- staff.
